Extron has introduced the DTP3 T 321 USB-C transmitter, designed to facilitate extended connectivity solutions, according to Installation International. The device allows for the transmission of video, audio, data, and electrical power across distances of up to 330 feet.
Reporting from Installation International indicates that the transmitter utilizes a single shielded CAT 6A cable to manage the transmission of signals. This single cable carries video and audio signals, data, and power.
The new transmitter is capable of handling resolutions reaching 4K/60 with 4:4:4 color sampling, and it features both a USB-C input and a local HDMI output. Data connections are supported at rates of 10 Gbps, and the device provides 60 watts of power for standard device charging. With the addition of the UPI 100 power inserter, power delivery can increase to 100 watts.
Furthermore, the transmitter is compatible with USB-C DisplayPort alternate mode video functionality. The design consolidates video/audio, USB data, and device power delivery into a single cable.
