ESS Audio, the integration firm responsible for the project, leveraged spatial audio techniques during the design phase, utilizing binaural previews to refine the system’s impact. The immersive environment is constructed using FLUX:: spatial audio, specifically the FLUX:: SPAT Revolution platform, which allows for the creation of detailed soundscapes.
Specific areas within the museum utilize different loudspeaker models. The entrance hall incorporates JBL CBT 1000 and AC16 loudspeakers, while the primary exhibition hall relies on JBL Control HST and CBT 70J loudspeakers. Crown DSi amplifiers deliver power to the speakers, and BSS BLU processors manage signal routing, tuning, and distribution. Furthermore, a dedicated performance area employs JBL SRX906 line-array elements, Soundcraft Si Series mixing consoles, and AKG microphones, alongside AMX control systems for operational management.
Spatial audio elements can be repositioned throughout the museum's exhibition spaces, offering a dynamic and adaptable experience. The system's design focuses on recreating a sense of presence and realism for museum guests.
