Arturia has released AstroLab Firmware 2.0, a major free update for the AstroLab 37, 61 and 88 stage keyboards, Synthtopia reported. The update introduces a new Sound Edit view that provides access to key parameters within supported instruments. This allows users to go beyond the original macro-based sound tweaking workflow that the keyboards previously offered.
The firmware also adds more than 60 new sounds. These include a new sampled acoustic piano, funk and orchestral brass, pop strings, and upright and electric basses. The collection expands the range of tones available to players performing on stage or in the studio.
Arturia has also added MiniFreak V5 compatibility to the update. In addition, the company made improvements to sampler and Synthx performance, Analog Lab connectivity, preset management and several areas of stage operation. These changes are designed to streamline workflow for working musicians.
AstroLab Firmware 2.0 is available now as a free update for AstroLab owners. Users can download and install the firmware to access the new editing features, sounds and performance enhancements on their instruments.
