Barefoot Sound’s reference monitoring system was used to master the Dolby Atmos version of CIANI/ORKEST, the new live album from electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani and the Metropole Orkest conducted by Simon Dobson, barefootsound reported.
The Atmos master was created by producer and engineer KamranV at The Barefoot Sound Experience, the company’s immersive demo studio at The Lot at Formosa in West Hollywood, the report states. The studio features a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos monitoring configuration built around Barefoot Sound’s reference monitoring technology, designed to deliver transparency, precise imaging, and full-range sonic performance.
KamranV said the precision and accuracy of the monitoring environment allowed him to create a highly detailed Dolby Atmos master with exceptional clarity and confidence, the report notes. The system enabled the subtle textures of Ciani’s Buchla synthesizer and the full dynamic impact of the 50-piece orchestra to be experienced with clarity and dimensionality.
The album was recorded live at Amsterdam Dance Event and is released by Atmospheric / AKP Recordings / CyKiK. A screening and listening event was held October 6, 2026, at the Dolby Screening Room at Hollywood & Vine in Los Angeles, highlighting the growing role of Dolby Atmos in music production, according to Barefoot Sound.
