Electronic music group Rüfüs Du Sol is currently undertaking an expansive tour, dubbed Inhale/Exhale, which represents a significant milestone for the band. According to LSi Online, the production is notable for its scale, encompassing performances across multiple continents, including Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States, before concluding in Canada this September.
Joel Stanley, who has served as production manager for the group for five years, oversees the tour’s operations. The audio design for the Inhale/Exhale tour is facilitated by Clair Global, leveraging the expertise of both Britannia Row Productions and Eighth Day Sound. Cam Trewin has been responsible for mixing the band’s sound for nearly ten years.
The band prioritizes a live performance experience that closely mirrors their studio recordings, striving for a consistent and detailed sonic environment for audiences. This ambition is supported by a front-of-house (FOH) system anchored by a Yamaha Rivage PM5 console, along with the utilization of Pro Tools and Nuendo for recording purposes. Dante technology is also widely incorporated throughout the audio infrastructure.
Johnny Keirle designed a 270-degree sound coverage layout, while James Gueness creates twelve separate monitor mixes for the musicians on stage.
