EastWest has introduced Hollywood Scoring Tools, a scoring instrument built around preconfigured Scores created by professional composers for film, television and other production work, prosoundweb reported.
The product includes more than 300 Scores and more than 1,000 Presets covering 14 genres and 12 Styles, drawing on 164 instruments from EastWest and Sonuscore. Instruments are divided into five categories: Orchestra, Synths, Band, World, and Choirs & Percussion.
The Orchestra category includes strings, brass, woodwinds, mallets, harp, piano and celesta, while the Synths section covers leads, hits, basses, pads and ambience effects. Band includes bass, guitar, drums and keys, with World covering plucked, bowed, metallophone, wind and percussion instruments.
The workflow lets users select a Score, play it and customize individual elements including instruments, layers, textures, effects and controls, then save customized versions for future projects.
Hollywood Scoring Tools will be released October 29, 2026, and is available for pre-order now. It will also be included with ComposerCloud+ subscriptions. Existing owners of Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition and Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra are eligible for a limited-time crossgrade offer.
The Scores cover styles including action, science fiction, horror, documentary, drama and uplifting material, with combinations designed for different scoring applications.
