ETC has released Hog OS v5.3, the latest software update for its Hog lighting console family, LSi Online reported. The company described the release as significant, noting that it provides major internal changes that enable the system to move forward with new features while increasing performance and stability.
The update brings several enhancements to the Hog platform. These include a new graphical framing shutter tool, touch-based window resizing, and a new screen layout option that breaks a screen into sixths instead of fourths. The release also delivers improvements to recording and masking functionality, additional U Keys, improvements to the Fixtures window, and implementation of the OSC link over local Wi-Fi on new consoles.
Hog OS v5.3 further supports the connection and use of up to two Tour Wing playback wings on a console. Tania Lesage, market manager at ETC, said the release brings key improvements in the usability of Hog while also laying important groundwork for more features to come, LSi Online reported.
