The second annual Fall Arts Festival in downtown Elizabethton is set to return on Saturday, Oct. 3, with an expanded roster of more than 40 artist vendors. This participation level doubles the number featured during the event’s inaugural year. Hosted by the Elizabethton Arts and Cultural Alliance, the free, family-friendly gathering targets the regional creative market by featuring live demonstrations including pottery, glass flameworking, and a found-object musical jam session. Improvisational percussion acts are scheduled alongside blues and jazz musicians to entertain attendees throughout the day.
As elizabethton com reported, the festival aims to connect professional and emerging artists with the community, creating a direct sales channel for independent makers in the 400 block of East Elk Street. While the event focuses on visual arts and dance performances by groups like the East Tennessee Ballet, the inclusion of diverse musical genres suggests a broadened scope for local instrument visibility. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and includes a Kid Zone sponsored by Carter County Drug Prevention. Organizers are currently seeking volunteers to manage the increased foot traffic expected from the larger vendor lineup.
