Windmark Beach Church, a Panama City, Florida campus of Hiland Park Baptist Church, recently upgraded its audio capabilities with a new sound reinforcement system featuring Martin Audio loudspeakers. The installation was managed by systems integration firm S&L Integration, addressing the sanctuary’s unique acoustic challenges.
The design process accounted for the church's low ceilings, the presence of structural columns, and limitations in sightlines. To achieve optimal coverage, the installation incorporates two FlexPoint FP12 loudspeakers at the front of the sanctuary, complemented by an additional pair positioned midway to extend sound reach. Two SXC215 cardioid subwoofers are flown in an end-fire configuration to reinforce low frequencies while minimizing sound bleed onto the stage.
S&L Integration utilized DISPLAY3 software to precisely model sound distribution and ensure consistent performance. The target sound pressure level was set at 100 dBA, with a coverage variation of less than ±2.5 dB across the seating area. The selection of the FlexPoint FP12 speakers was based on their compact size and ability to deliver high performance within the limited space.
