Focusrite has officially launched the ISA C8X, marking the manufacturer’s first entry into the ISA audio interface category for the global professional market. According to a report from the Music Industries Association, the new 26-in, 28-out USB-C unit is immediately available for purchase through focusrite.com and authorized resellers. This release expands Focusrite’s distribution footprint by bringing legacy ISA tonal characteristics into a modern chassis designed for contemporary studio workflows.
The Music Industries Association notes that the interface combines two ISA Lundahl LL1538 transformer preamps with six ultra-low-noise preamps derived from the company’s Red and RedNet product lines. The hardware includes all-analogue Console and 430 Air tone-shaping capabilities, manageable via the front panel or the remote Focusrite Control 2 mobile app. To support retailer sales efforts and end-user adoption, Focusrite has published a comprehensive product walkthrough featuring Product Manager Jack Cole. This video resource details the design architecture and operational features intended to maximize session quality for professional audio engineers utilizing the new platform.
