Gator has released the G-SCALE-CLIP, a USB-C rechargeable compact tuner for guitar, bass, ukulele, violin and other stringed instruments. The vibration-based tuner is designed to provide a quick pitch reference during practice, recording and live performance.
The G-SCALE-CLIP includes five tuning presets: Chromatic, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele and Violin. Its calibration function is adjustable from 430Hz to 450Hz, while the vibration-based sensor provides tuning accuracy up to plus or minus 0.5 cents and can operate in louder environments where microphone-based tuners may be less effective.
A bright display shows pitch deviation in cents. Four points of articulation, including 360-degree dual-axis rotation, allow the screen to be positioned for clear viewing from multiple angles while attached to an instrument.
The tuner also features a soft silicone-padded grip and can be positioned behind some headstocks for a less visible stage appearance. A full USB-C charge provides up to 5.5 hours of continuous operation, and a USB-C cable is included.
