Gibson has announced a new lineup of four acoustic guitars as part of its Original Collection. According to Premier Guitar, the instruments are designed around familiar shapes and incorporate several player-focused enhancements.
The new series features a collaboration with LR Baggs, integrating the company’s HiFi DNA pickup system. This system is intended to deliver a refined amplified tone. Premier Guitar reports that the launch represents a significant release for Gibson.
Modifications to the instruments include design changes aimed at improving resonance and comfort. The guitars also incorporate electronics upgrades, including ClassicGear Precision Potentiometers and Push-Push tone controls. Fingerboards feature rolled edges for enhanced playability.
Left-handed models are expected to become available in the spring of 2027. The American Professional Stratocaster has a street price of $1,799.
