HK Audio has introduced the ELEMENTS MK2, a new modular column array system intended to provide consistent sound coverage over considerable distances. According to Pro Sound Web, the design prioritizes scalability and includes an integrated digital signal processing (DSP) platform, making it appropriate for various applications like corporate events and speech reinforcement.

The new system is designed for rapid deployment, noted Pro Sound Web, and is particularly beneficial for rental companies and event professionals who require flexible mobile sound reinforcement solutions. The SnapLock system eliminates the need for tools, streamlining the setup process.

The ELEMENTS MK2 utilizes line array principles, delivering a 90-degree horizontal dispersion angle. The system incorporates a newly engineered phase plug sound guide to ensure even sound distribution and precise control over how the audio spreads. The array's modules, including the top units, spacers, and subwoofers, connect with a single, secure step.

Pro Sound Web reports that the system supports up to three top modules and two subwoofers, with the DSP platform automatically recognizing connected modules and adjusting filters for optimal midrange performance. Options for enhanced low-frequency response or cardioid configurations include compatibility with specific subwoofer models. The integrated DSP platform offers several presets, including Flat, Contour, and Voice, and is controllable via HK Audio’s DSP CONTROL software. Network connectivity via Ethernet enables both system control and Milan AVB Audio streaming.
