iCON Pro Audio has developed a new control surface intended for contemporary audio workflows. According to Icon Pro Audio, the Touch 8 integrates several functions into a single unit, aiming to streamline the audio production process.
Reporting from Icon Pro Audio, the device incorporates a 10-inch multi-touch screen and functions as a 12×12 USB-C audio interface. The system consolidates recording, routing, monitoring, digital signal processing, and streaming capabilities.
The Touch 8 offers four Neutrik XLR-1/4-inch combination inputs, alongside four balanced analog outputs, and optical ADAT connectivity for additional channels. It is capable of handling audio resolution up to 24-bit/192 kHz, and incorporates USB-C for compatibility with portable devices. The device also has four microphone/instrument inputs and relies on dual ARM Cortex processors for operation.
Included with the Touch 8 are software packages from iZotope and Harrison, specifically VEA and AVA Live. The device facilitates real-time audio manipulation and signal pathways.
