IK Multimedia has officially introduced its Sinphonica Maestosa Strings, the first release within its newly announced Sinphonica family of Italian symphonic instruments. The seven-year recording project took place at Officine Meccaniche Studios in Milan and produced a 60-piece orchestra split into 16 distinct sections. Musicians utilized five True Legato styles, such as Glissando and Portamento Slow, alongside over 40 articulations, dynamic layers, vibrato effects, and round robins.
The library includes features like Articulation Morphing for technique transitions and PALCO Virtual Stage Positioning for custom orchestral seating. Eight microphone perspectives and keyswitch presets are available, along with ensemble instruments for sketching and cinematic textures ranging from drones to tension stabs. Buyers can purchase the full collection or choose five individual sections including Violins I, Violins II, Violas, Cellos, and Double Basses. The product is currently available through IK Multimedia and authorized dealers worldwide.
