Interaktiv Audio has introduced Interaktiv Tap, a new iPad application designed to function as a multi-touch interface for Traktor Pro 3 and 4. According to Synthtopia, the application enables users to manipulate Traktor’s features directly from their iPad.
The iPad application facilitates control over various Traktor decks, including Track, Stem, Remix, and Live Input, alongside effects, equalization, loops, hot cues, master tempo, and synchronization. The system connects to a Mac or PC running Traktor via a single USB cable for MIDI communication, and it is important to note that the iPad does not transmit the audio signal.
Within the Traktor software, Interaktiv Tap appears as a distinct device, allowing existing controller mappings to remain active. The application is currently available for free download, accompanied by a seven-day trial period.
