A sophisticated sound system from K-array has been implemented at EDIKTED’s new flagship retail location in New York City, according to Installation. The store occupies space within the historic Charles Scribner’s Sons Building, a landmark structure originally designed by Ernest Flagg and finished in 1913.

Installation reports that the building’s architecture presented unique acoustic challenges, notably a substantial 30-foot vaulted ceiling. To address this, the audio installation incorporates ten Vyper-KV102W II loudspeakers to deliver the main audio experience, while twelve KGEAR GH4W loudspeakers are used for additional areas within the space. Six Rumble-KU210W subwoofers were added to provide a deeper bass response.

The primary loudspeakers are painted white to blend with the store’s aesthetic. A Kommander-KA208 amplifier is responsible for controlling the entire system’s performance. Rootech was engaged to fine-tune and optimize the audio system’s performance during the commissioning process.

EDIKTED’s new location provides a modern retail environment within a building with a rich history. The audio installation aims to complement the store’s design and enhance the customer experience.
