Tbreak Media UAE reported that Meta has officially launched the Ray-Ban Meta Audio, marking the company’s first audio-only smart glasses with a starting price of $349. This new product line distinguishes itself from camera-equipped models by utilizing speakers and microphones rather than cameras, offering a straightforward option for users focused on open-ear audio and hands-free AI capabilities. The device features a 43-gram frame with up to 12 hours of listening time on a single charge, supported by an included case extending total battery life by another 48 hours.

The Ray-Ban Meta Audio is available in Clubmaster and Burbank styles across 23 color and lens combinations, with support for various optical prescriptions. While pre-orders open in the US for October 13 shipping, Meta has not yet announced a local release date or specific AED pricing for the UAE market. Consequently, UAE shoppers currently access the wider Meta Glasses range, with the Gen 3 camera model starting at AED 1,960. This launch expands Meta’s hardware portfolio alongside the Gen 3 camera model, which adds a customizable action button and a six-microphone array designed to reduce background noise by over 90 percent. The audio-only variant addresses consumer demands for wearables that leverage advanced voice capture technology without the complexity of camera systems. Meta says the glasses can capture a wearer’s voice more clearly than earbuds, although that is a company claim rather than an independent test result. The launch follows Meta Connect 2026 coverage as Meta continues adding software controls to its wearables.
