Black Lion Audio has introduced PBR LIT, a 1U rackmount LED display designed to bring custom digital labeling to studio racks. Mounted directly above or below an existing patchbay, the display provides labels that can be updated as routing and equipment change.
Users can connect a standard USB keyboard to edit labels directly from the front panel, or use the included Patchcad BLA Edition software for macOS and Windows to create, save and manage complete patchbay layouts.
PBR LIT offers four display modes: 48-point TRS, 96-point TT, 16-point XLR and a custom mode for alternative layouts or studio signage. Custom mode uses the full-width display for equipment identification, rack labeling, studio branding, session notes or other custom text.
The unit has a reinforced steel chassis, a black-anodized aluminum faceplate and a blue LED display. Its black finish is designed to complement professional studio equipment.
Black Lion Audio announced preorders beginning Sept. 15, with shipping expected through its global dealer network in late Q3 2026. The U.S. minimum advertised price is $249, and the European suggested selling price is 355 euros, including 19% VAT.
