WDNA 88.9 FM, a public radio station located in Miami, recently completed an upgrade to its studio monitoring setup, according to Mixonline. The station, which broadcasts a variety of music and cultural programs, serves the South Florida area.
The station implemented KRK Kreate Series monitors to modernize its production capabilities. These new monitors are now in use across three distinct areas of the station, including production and broadcast spaces. Mixonline reported that the station also functions as a venue for live performances, frequently hosting institutions like Florida International University and the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.
Specifically, KRK Kreate 5 monitors are utilized in a production studio for creating recorded programming and promotional material. Larger Kreate 8 monitors are featured in the main production studio and a live-to-air studio to support mixing and live broadcast activities.
