Minimal Audio has introduced Lucid, a new granular audio effect designed to reshape sound into evolving textures. According to Synthtopia, the plugin provides users with a pathway to create processed sounds by manipulating audio at a granular level.

Synthtopia reports that Lucid enables users to adjust grain timing, pitch, and placement, offering substantial control over the resulting sonic output. Users can independently manage grain playback speed and density. The plugin's design allows for pitch shifting and randomization of individual grains.

Features of the effect also include spatial manipulation, stereo widening, reverse playback, looping, and an integrated filter. Users can further shape the grains' characteristics through envelope controls. A modulation system facilitates dynamic parameter movement.

Lucid is now accessible for both Mac and Windows operating systems, priced at $79 USD, a reduction from its standard price of $129.
