Optimal Audio has introduced Venue Wizard, a free online tool that delivers system recommendations in under five minutes without requiring sign-up, according to LSi Online.

The tool draws on the full Optimal Audio product ecosystem and suggests combinations of multi-zone control, amplification and loudspeakers after six steps of questions about a space and its use, LSi Online reported.

Questions are framed around venue operations rather than technical specifications, asking whether a venue shows live sport rather than whether HDMI connectivity is needed, the publication reported. That answer steers recommendations toward the Zone family, with the final choice shaped by zone count and whether a powered loudspeaker variant suits deployment.

Practical mounting questions covering wall, ceiling or outdoor installation help shape the outline specification, LSi Online noted. An option to indicate uncertainty is carried forward to the local distributor, who is positioned to resolve open questions.

The tool also asks whether lowest cost or room to grow matters most and weights recommendations accordingly, the publication said. Each recommendation begins with control, followed by amplification and loudspeakers, with loudspeaker selection driven by content type.

Global demand manager Jamie Gomez said the tool removes the homework barrier that commercial audio has traditionally expected from customers before they can ask questions, LSi Online reported.
