The upcoming PLASA Show will introduce a new, interactive demonstration area called The PLASA Lab, designed to offer attendees a hands-on evaluation of various lighting technologies. James Simpson is spearheading the initiative, aiming to provide a practical exploration of the equipment.

The event is slated to take place in London from September 6-8, 2026. Admission to The PLASA Lab is included with general admission tickets to the PLASA Show. Registration for the show is currently free, but this offer expires on August 31, 2026.

Notably, during the demonstrations, the manufacturers of the lighting fixtures will not be immediately identified. This design aims to permit impartial assessment of the technology itself. Following the initial demonstrations, visitors will have the chance to test the equipment firsthand and connect with representatives from the brands involved.

The PLASA Lab will showcase a diverse selection of lighting types, including high-output and low-output spot fixtures, as well as beam, wash (both large and small) options. LSi is providing editorial support for the new experience.
