PRS Guitars has introduced the Tekton family, a four-model lineup designed for technical modern players, according to Premier Guitar. The family includes the Tekton hardtail, Tekton T with PRS two-point tremolo, Tekton Floyd with Floyd Rose tremolo, and Tekton SVN seven-string.

Premier Guitar reports each model features a lightweight body shape positioned between the Custom 24 and Vela, a thin modern D neck, 25.5-inch scale, 16-inch radius, stainless steel frets, wider string spacing matching the Silver Sky and Fiore, and bolt-on maple neck construction. The Tekton, Tekton T and Tekton SVN carry figured mango tops with mahogany backs, while the Tekton Floyd uses an all-alder body.

The lineup debuts PRS Stylus pickups built with Alnico 5 magnets and voiced for clarity and articulation across tube amps and digital rigs, Premier Guitar reports. The pickups offer split or full humbucking modes with a flatter output than typical humbuckers.

PRS Director of Sales Jim Cullen told Premier Guitar the launch answers growing demand for modern-spec PRS guitars. Fretboards are Indian ebony with offset dot inlays and Luminlay side dots. Necks incorporate hormigo strength rods for stability and resonance. The instruments represent the thinnest body and neck PRS has produced in standard production.
