Rode has introduced the LPA1, a low-profile studio arm intended for microphones and other equipment within recording, broadcasting, and video podcast setups. The manufacturer states the unit offers a 2 kg payload capacity and a 750 mm reach, designed to keep equipment close to the source while remaining within the camera line of sight.
The LPA1 features all-metal construction supporting end-address and side-address microphones, including broadcast dynamics and large-diaphragm condensers. Its articulation allows 360-degree movement with 90-degree upward and 60-degree downward adjustment, while the integrated ball mount permits flexible positioning above or below desk level.
Integrated cable management routes XLR and USB cables along the arm, and the included clamp fits desks up to 70 mm thick. Thread compatibility with 1/4-inch, 3/8-inch, and 5/8-inch mounts supports a range of microphones, cameras, lights, and accessories. This new product expands Rode’s accessory lineup for dealers and retailers serving the music-products market, offering a versatile solution for diverse studio configurations as reported by ProSoundWeb.
