Roland has introduced the n/vision, a compact wavetable synthesizer that expands the company’s Boutique line into wavetable synthesis. According to Synthtopia, the instrument combines digital waveform scanning with Roland’s wave-shaping technology, analog-modeling filters and a broad selection of effects.

Synthtopia reports the n/vision supports two-part multitimbral operation, allowing users to combine two wavetable layers for evolving pads, complex textures and lead sounds. It offers up to 56 voices of polyphony, depending on processing load, and includes wavetable position control, multiple modulation sources and Roland’s nonlinear wave-shaper technology for generating additional harmonics.

The instrument features a two-part, 64-step polyphonic sequencer supporting up to eight notes per step, an arpeggiator and motion recording for capturing parameter changes. The MFX engine delivers 17 effect types, including Roland’s JUNO-style chorus, plus dedicated delay and reverb with five reverb types and a shimmer mode.

The n/vision ships in a compact Boutique enclosure with a built-in speaker and an included K-25m keyboard dock. Connectivity includes USB-C audio/MIDI, traditional MIDI input and output, external clock input, and battery or USB power. Synthtopia reports the synthesizer is available now for $549.99 USD.
