Shure provided a substantial array of audio equipment for the 2026 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, according to Installation International. The company’s involvement encompassed over 2,000 components distributed across ten distinct stages during the two-week event.
Among the deployed technology were 156 channels of Axient Digital wireless systems and 756 wired microphones, supporting more than 300 concerts and activities. The festival’s Stravinski stage utilized Shure ShowLink for remote device monitoring and management, while five ADTQ units, each with eight channels, were also implemented.
Specific artists also leveraged particular Shure equipment; John Legend's engineer used a Nexadyne 8/S microphone, and The Roots utilized Axient Digital transmitters alongside SM58 and Nexient microphones. Deep Purple’s performance incorporated Axient Digital PSM systems, ADTQ bodypacks, and KSM11 capsules. Vulfpeck’s setup included AD2 transmitters paired with SM58 capsules.
The Montreux Jazz Festival and the Shure SM58 microphone both marked their 60th anniversaries during this year's festival. A dedicated lounge was available for audio professionals to connect with Shure’s technical support team, who also assisted production crews with microphone selection and wireless frequency coordination.
