Shure has introduced Wavetool 4, a new professional audio monitoring and listening software designed for theater, live sound, broadcast, and houses of worship. The latest version expands the capabilities of the monitoring platform with full-system replay and enhanced collaboration tools.
Wavetool 4 now supports up to 192 channels and eight concurrent users, enabling teams to manage complex audio environments. It includes Global Instant Replay, which captures up to 30 minutes of system history for quick review and troubleshooting. The interface is scalable, allowing users to zoom, resize, and prioritize channel displays for efficient workflow management.
The software integrates chat, image sharing, reactions, and voice notes directly into the monitoring process, improving team communication during live events. It also features intelligent microphone-issue detection that identifies faults while filtering out expected production sounds. Shure offers subscription and perpetual licensing options through ShureCloud, along with a 30-day free trial for real-world evaluation.
