SSOUNDS, a speaker company operating from Britain and Nigeria, has introduced the XTO 14X, a large-format line array component designed for stadiums and arenas. The element features a horn-loaded 10-inch midrange driver alongside three 4-inch-coil compression drivers handling high frequencies. Two 14-inch low-frequency drivers and two side-firing 10-inch drivers manage directional control and cancel rear sound without a separate backward-facing speaker.
Each unit connects to a D34X amplifier across four independent sections, delivering a peak output of 153 dB at one meter with horizontal coverage options of 70 or 110 degrees paired with 8-degree vertical coverage. CEO Samuel Ozonyiri highlighted the importance of managing stage reflections in large venues. For smaller venues under 18,000 capacity, SSounds recommends the XTO 12P, while the XTO 10P and XTO 8P suit mid-format and downfill roles. The XTO S221F subwoofer is intended to fly alongside the main arrays.
