Stagecraft Software has announced the availability of Cenere, a new software synthesizer designed to emulate the sonic qualities of vintage instruments. According to Synthtopia, the instrument utilizes a subtractive architecture and provides users with a range of sound-shaping options.

The synthesizer incorporates oscillators with hard synchronization capabilities that function in real time. It also includes analog-modeled filters, alongside filters that allow for continuous morphing of sounds. Users can also manipulate parameters at audio rates, providing a flexible means of sound design.

Cenere's unison engine supports up to nine layers and offers drift control, while the instrument’s design accommodates modulation via velocity, aftertouch, and MPE. The synthesizer also includes a polyphonic portamento feature and over 20 effects. Cenere is now available for both Mac and Windows operating systems, priced at $200 USD.
