Several technology companies will be participating in the thirteenth annual Mix Sound for Film & TV event, according to Mix. The gathering, held in Culver City, California, will feature demonstrations and discussions centered on audio technology for film and television production.
Google and Samsung are among the new partners joining the event, planning to present an immersive playback system focused on delivering high-resolution audio to home entertainment setups. This system will be presented under the theme of “Cinematic Immersive Sound at Home.” Mix editors expressed gratitude for the continuing support of existing technology sponsors, noting their essential role in the event’s execution.
Other confirmed technology sponsors include Sony, which will display its 360VME technology and 360 Reality Audio, along with reference headphones and software. Other World Computing, Pro Sound Effects, Sound Particles, Dreamworks, and NBCUniversal Studio Post are also participating. Additional sponsors are expected to be announced in the near future.
