The Box at Trilith LIVE in Fayetteville, Georgia, has opened with a d&b audiotechnik Soundscape 180° system featuring SL-Series line arrays, A-Series augmented arrays and DS100 Signal Engines running En-Scene and En-Space software, according to a report from fohonline.com. The installation was designed by Threshold Acoustics and integrated by 3G Productions.
The 2,200-seat venue, conceived by Chick-fil-A chairman Dan Cathy and inspired by Austin’s Moody Theater, required a rider-friendly solution for touring acts, corporate events and weekly worship services. The main PA deploys seven hangs combining XSL and A-Series loudspeakers, supported by five hangs of SL-Sub subwoofers for cardioid low-frequency control. Dedicated 44S front fills are integrated directly into the stage’s mechanical lifts.
Threshold developed 15 distinct ArrayCalc files to map coverage across multiple stage configurations, allowing staff to reconfigure the PA via presets in d&b R1 Remote control software. The venue also includes pre-installed conduit and rack space for a future 360-degree Soundscape expansion.
For touring engineers, the system’s DS100 processor handles Soundscape distribution from a standard left-right mix, reducing the need for spatial mixing training. The venue has already hosted acts including Dwight Yoakam, 38 Special and America, with touring P.A. equipment reportedly staying on trucks.
