Walrus Audio has reintroduced its Storybook Series with expanded stereo MKII versions of the Lore Reverse Soundscape Generator and Fable Stereo Granular Soundscape Generator, each carrying a $349.99 retail price.
Premier Guitar reported that the Lore centers on five modes of reverse reverb, delay and pitch shifting, while the Fable pairs delay with granular processing across five modes. Both pedals use complex feedback paths routed through Feedback and Regen controls to build evolving stereo soundscapes.
The updated pedals share an expanded control system with a multifunction Tweak control accessing Width, Mod Rate, Mod Shape, Shift and Ramp parameters. A Dive/Rise momentary function lets players manipulate clock rate in real time. Both units add MIDI control, expression and external tap functionality, three onboard presets plus Live mode, or up to 127 presets via MIDI.
Walrus Audio’s proprietary MDSP platform, developed in-house by the company’s engineering team, powers both pedals by combining multiple algorithms, feedback paths, time manipulation and modulation. Each pedal ships in two illustrated color variants by artist Niall Grant alongside minimal versions with simplified icons and black enclosures.
The Lore and Fable MKII are available through walrusaudio.com and authorized Walrus Audio dealers, built for players who want to move beyond traditional delay and reverb.
