Monthly Mixing reported that Zynaptiq has released the new plugins LOUD and WIDE, along with the bundles MASTER III and ZAP VI. LOUD is a processor for tracks, buses and the master. It combines technology from the INTENSITY 2, PUNCH and BALANCE plugins with a new feedback-style multiband limiter in a single processing stage. It can add density to the sound and refine its tone while preserving punch and presence. Two algorithm configurations, CLEAN and WARM, are available, and the TONE control adjusts the frequency response. It also supports level-compensated monitoring and up to 16 channels for immersive work.
WIDE is a plugin for stereo image widening and mono-to-stereo upmixing. It is based on patented sample-level spectral processing technology and includes four algorithms. It can be used with 100% mono compatibility when needed. The company said it is virtually free of the limitations and artifacts seen in conventional methods. The tools are available in AAX Native, AU for Mac only and VST3 formats. They run on macOS 10.15 or later and Windows 10 or later, requiring a free iLok account. Introductory pricing is in effect through October 15, with LOUD at $49 and WIDE at $99. MASTER III costs $499 and ZAP VI costs $1,299.
