Industrial Communication & Sound (ICS) created and put in place an audio network at the Cincinnati Open, according to an official announcement. The expansive system now serves 10 match courts, 21 practice courts, five new buildings, renovated spaces, and common areas.
The new audio infrastructure provides support for a variety of functions, including audio for the match courts, background music, distribution for broadcasting, emergency alerts, and pre-recorded messaging. It also incorporates integration with Hawk-Eye officiating technology, and enables centralized control of the audio routing and volume across the entire venue.
LEA Professional’s Connect Series amplifiers, which are Dante-enabled, were utilized for the project, with power output ranging from 80W per channel to 1,500W per channel. The amplifiers offer connectivity via Dante and AES67, and also include digital signal processing. SharkWare software from LEA Professional was employed to pre-configure amplifier settings and tune loudspeakers, and remote management is facilitated through LEA Cloud.
