The Bob Moog Foundation has opened an online fundraising auction running through October 26, offering buyers original artwork, framed prints, autographed collectibles and memorabilia tied to Bob Moog and electronic music history, according to MusicTech.
MusicTech reports that auction highlights include a signed caricature from late keyboardist Keith Emerson, synth-inspired artwork by illustrator Kyle Platts, prints exploring the Minimoog and electronic music history from UK design studio Dorothy, and signed photographs from keyboardist Roger Powell and Larry Fast, a past collaborator with Peter Gabriel.
Additional items include an original acrylic painting by Dave C. Lovelace depicting Bob Moog beside a modular synth, created at the Moogseum during Moog’s 92nd birthday celebration, framed tributes to Keith Emerson and Bernie Worrell, a poster marking Moog’s 2013 National Inventors Hall of Fame induction, and a Moogfest 2014 festival poster, MusicTech reports.
Proceeds will support Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, the Bob Moog Foundation Archives and the Moogseum in Asheville, North Carolina, according to MusicTech. Bidders can register through the foundation’s Shopify store, with shipping details listed on each product page and a collection option available at Moog in Asheville.
