Cort Guitars has officially unveiled the KX500 Baritone, a new addition to its KX Series engineered specifically for players using low tunings, according to a Premier Guitar report. The instrument addresses string tension and note definition challenges common in dropped registers through a 28.03-inch scale length and premium component selection.

The KX500 Baritone features an okoume body with an English Walnut veneer, finished in Matte Natural Black Burst with an open-pore application. A bolt-on neck uses a five-piece roasted maple and walnut construction with a Macassar Ebony fingerboard, 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets, and luminous side dots for dark stage visibility, Premier Guitar reported.

Electronics include a matched Seymour Duncan Sentient and Nazgûl humbucker set voiced for modern high-gain performance, managed by a single volume knob, three-way toggle switch, and a push/pull tone pot for coil-splitting. Hardware consists of a new Cort hardtail bridge with string-thru-body construction, Cort locking tuners, and a Graph Tech Black TUSQ nut.

The guitar ships factory-equipped with D’Addario EXL157 strings (.014-.068) and all-black hardware. Cort directs retailers and consumers to its official website for specifications and global availability details, positioning the model for the modern metal and progressive guitarist market segment.
