A one-of-a-kind Paoletti guitar surfaced in a Monaco auction on April 2, selling for €110,000 and setting a new record for the Tuscan manufacturer, according to Paoletti Guitars. The previous benchmark for the builder was €72,000 at a charity auction tied to the Monaco Christmas Ball.

Paoletti Guitars said founder and master builder Fabrizio Paoletti designed and handcrafted the instrument, which is covered in a mosaic of thousands of mother-of-pearl pieces, features the Principality’s coat of arms with Swarovski elements on its front, and carries the word Munegu inlaid along the neck. Auctioneer Simon de Pury conducted the sale at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo during the Goodwill Ambassador Award Gala 2026, where the guitar was subsequently signed by Charles Leclerc and Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Paoletti participated as an official partner of the Monaco Ambassadors Club, with collaboration from Robb Report Monaco. Proceeds will support the Prince’s Foundation, Rondine Cittadella della Pace, San Patrignano and the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

Paoletti Guitars said further projects are underway tied to The Eye of Florence, culminating in October 2026 with eight one-of-a-kind guitars inspired by the Santa Maria del Fiore dome stained glass. That initiative involves the Opera del Duomo of Florence and Art of Guitar, a Dubai-based premium gallery that Paoletti identified as a key distribution partner for reaching a global audience.
