PRS Guitars has officially unveiled the Astryx Limited Edition, a new signature instrument designed for Dany Villarreal, the guitarist and lead vocalist of The Warning. This release marks Villarreal’s first ever signature model and is strictly limited to just 200 guitars worldwide for 2026. The Astryx is built on the Custom 24 platform but features specific personalized elements, including a unique ebony fretboard. Visually, the instrument showcases a striking four-color fade finish named Ocaso, meaning sunset, alongside a custom twelfth-fret sun inlay called Solecito, or little sun. These designs honor Villarreal’s Mexican heritage and include materials like paua, gold, and mother of pearl. Every unit comes with an autographed backplate and her signature on the truss rod cover. Core specifications remain true to the original model with a maple top, mahogany back, and Gen III tremolo system. Villarreal praised the instrument for its comfortable neck, beautiful sustain, and ability to fill sonic space effectively for a three-piece band configuration.
