Sonova has announced the release of the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds, a refreshed model in the brand’s flagship line. According to Joao Martins reporting for *audioXpress*, this launch occurs while Sonova is in the process of divesting its consumer division and associated Sennheiser licensing agreement.
The newest iteration of the earbuds incorporates several enhancements, including Dolby Atmos-optimized head tracking and expanded high-resolution codec support. A notable feature is the return of user-replaceable batteries, a design choice that some manufacturers have recently reintroduced.
Sonova characterizes the Momentum True Wireless 5 as its most sophisticated earbuds to date, designed to provide an exceptional listening experience. The design draws inspiration from the full-size Momentum 5 Wireless headphones, which debuted in May 2026. Product Manager Frank Foppe noted the intention to replicate the sound and technology of the larger headphones within a smaller form factor.
