Zoom is pushing into the next-generation amp modeler segment with the Neurig, a compact touchscreen pedal that Guitar.com reports carries 32 built-in amp heads, 139 effects and the ability to import more than 700,000 Neural Amp Modeler captures. The publication says Zoom believes the technology will redefine everything.
Guitar.com reports the Neurig supports the free, open-source NAM project and the TONE3000 online community, giving users access to amps, pedals and full signal chain models at no added cost. The unit is priced at roughly $300, positioning it as an aggressive entry in the modeler market.
The pedal includes six Zoom original amp models and 139 built-in effects, with up to 14 effects runnable simultaneously in series, parallel or split routing. Guitar.com notes the unit offers send/return jacks, MIDI in/out, stereo and mono outputs, Bluetooth connectivity, four footswitches, two rotary controls and about four and a half hours of battery life.
Zoom’s NAM A2 Lite support is branded by the company as the most accurate and best-sounding amp modeling technology in history, according to Guitar.com. The pedal also includes AI-driven tone generation and AI stem separation through the SessionZ Pedal cloud service, the publication reports.
