AlphaTheta has officially released the CDJ-1500X, a new DJ multi-player specifically engineered for bars, small clubs, and home setups. According to a report from LSi Online, the manufacturer designed this unit to deliver professional capabilities within a significantly smaller footprint than previous models. The company states the device inherits usability features from the flagship CDJ-3000X while offering a more compact form factor suitable for space-constrained venues.

The new player includes a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen and built-in Wi-Fi for accessing cloud-based libraries via rekordbox CloudDirectPlay. LSi Online notes the hardware supports CoBeat, a service allowing DJs to receive song requests directly on the screen. Enhanced waveform displays provide visual indicators for vocal positions and BPM changes to aid mixing decisions. Additionally, the Playlist Edit feature enables track rearrangement directly on the unit without requiring a laptop or USB re-export. This product launch expands AlphaTheta’s distribution options for retailers targeting the installation and mobile DJ markets with a versatile, pro-level solution.
