This new utility pedal offers a massive boost in sonic versatility for modern players who carefully curate their pedalboard builds.
The unit delivers up to four simultaneous effects from a vast onboard library containing 120 selections spanning major categories such as distortion, modulation, delay, and reverb. It also includes bass-tuned effects and unique models like Slow Gear and Slicer. Dedicated utility blocks allow users to insert foot volume, noise suppression, and mixing functions anywhere within the signal chain, while a global EQ shapes the overall tone. A full colour 2.4-inch display provides clear viewing of the full effect signal chain, individual effect blocks, editing options, menus, and more.
Distribution will begin in October with a suggested retail price of $299.99. The EX-4 features a 2.4-inch color display and four audio jacks that support mono or stereo connectivity, including an effect loop for integrating external pedals. MIDI I/O enables deep integration with switching systems and external clocking devices. This new product expands BOSS’s lineup of creative tools, catering to players from beginners to touring professionals who value rugged durability and intuitive control in their gear.
