According to Premier Guitar, the new unit operates in the 5.8 GHz ISM band to avoid congestion common in the 2.4 GHz spectrum used by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices. The manufacturer states the system delivers under 2.5 ms latency and provides more than 10 hours of continuous battery life per charge.
The SonikSphere NEO retains the 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio architecture of its predecessor while adding features for high-output instruments, including a built-in -10 dB PAD to prevent digital clipping from active pickups or piezo systems. Premier Guitar reports that the system supports up to six simultaneous pairs using color-coded channels, with visual battery indicators on both the black transmitter and silver receiver.
