HIVE Media Control has chosen DWR Distribution to serve as its distributor throughout South Africa, according to Installation International. The agreement will provide local customers with access to HIVE’s media technology solutions.
DWR Distribution, which operates from Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban, caters to a wide array of markets including live events, broadcast, and architectural installations. Rory Jervis, chief revenue officer at HIVE Media Control, and Duncan Riley, managing director at DWR Distribution, facilitated the collaboration.
The partnership will initially include a stock of chosen Beeblade media engines and enclosures available locally. These media players, based on the Intel SDM platform, are designed to integrate with displays and projectors, and can be housed in HIVE's enclosures for flexible deployment options.
The two companies began discussions regarding this arrangement at the ISE trade show in 2026. Beeblade media players are utilized for applications such as projection mapping and interactive displays.
