According to Music Instrument News, the product functions as a creation partner rather than an automatic song generator, combining Roland’s hardware expertise with research insights from Sony Computer Science Laboratories.
The software includes approximately 250 distinct Palettes, each containing melody, chord, bass, and drum parts to spark new stylistic directions. Music Instrument News reports that users can also import audio files for the system to analyze structural elements like tempo and mood, subsequently suggesting complementary patterns without replicating the source material. These ideas can be exported as separate MIDI or audio files for integration into major digital audio workstations.
