The Audio Engineering Society announced Music Row History Tours for AES Show Nashville 2026. The Oct. 30 program listed visits to RCA Studio B, RCA Studio A, Columbia Studio A and the Quonset Hut, with round-trip bus transportation from the show’s Opryland location.
RCA Studio B, built in 1957, helped establish the Nashville Sound through recordings that incorporated background vocals and strings. Studio Manager Diana Walsh and Maggie Morgan were named as guides.
RCA Studio A was founded in 1965 by Chet Atkins, Owen Bradley and Harold Bradley. The studio survived a demolition threat in 2014 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. Sheridan Gates and her team were listed to lead that portion of the tour.
The Quonset Hut and Columbia Studio A reflect the Bradley brothers’ role in developing Music Row. Following restoration supported by Mike Curb, the Quonset Hut became a teaching studio for Belmont University’s audio engineering and songwriting programs. Columbia Studio A reopened in 2014. Mike Porter and Michael Janas were named as guides for those spaces.
