Based in Providence, Rhode Island Warren’s work ranges from synthesizer voyages and digital soundscapes to concertina meditations, installations, workshops and lectures, with a focus on the ebbs and flows of individual and collective listening attention. Warren’s work has been presented internationally, and she previously served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Electronic Music and Multimedia at Brown University.
The program begins at 3 p.m. with The Art of Rest, a hands-on, exploratory workshop featuring ARP instruments and other synthesizers. Co-facilitated by Warren and Peter Edwards of Casper Electronics the session will use sound and conversation to invite participants into a shared exploration of listening, attention and rest.
