Antares Audio Technologies has launched AutoTune Advanced, a new flagship vocal tuning plugin built on a ground-up rewrite of its pitch correction algorithm. According to reporting by MusicRadar, the update introduces the DVA vibrato detection and preservation engine, designed to solve long-standing industry complaints that aggressive tuning flattens natural singer vibrato. This new flagship product in the AutoTune range addresses issues plaguing producers since the inception of pitch correction tools.
MusicRadar reports that Antares states the work on the updated tuning algorithm represents the largest engineering investment since the introduction of the product. The DVA engine distinguishes between pitch errors and intentional vocal decisions, allowing users to preserve, cut, boost, or generate artificial vibrato with specific waveshapes. The plugin also features a new Live Mode for ultra-fast real-time monitoring alongside High Quality and Low Latency options for studio workflows.
Additional updates include a refreshed Formant Designer, a 78-note Visual Keyboard for intuitive note behavior, and MIDI Perform capabilities for hands-on control. The software ships with presets from Grammy-winning professionals and supports macOS and Windows systems in AAX, AU, and VST3 formats. MusicRadar indicates the perpetual license is priced at $450, with monthly subscription options available, and a free trial is available now for testing the new features.
