Antares has officially launched AutoTune Advanced, a new flagship pitch correction plugin that has been redesigned from the algorithm up. According to Monthly Mixing, the software features a new DVA engine that preserves natural vocal vibrato while enabling transparent or hard tuning effects. The manufacturer states this engine allows users to preserve, cut, boost, or generate new vibrato using various waveforms without compromising vocal character. This technology recognizes the vibrato a singer intended to perform and leaves it untouched unless modified by the user.
The release includes a Live Latency Mode supporting sub-1ms delay across sample rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz, allowing real-time performance immersion without hearing a delay. Monthly Mixing reports that the plugin includes a redesigned Formant Designer for independent pitch and formant adjustments, plus a streamlined scale editing interface compatible with AutoKey 2. While the tool includes signature presets from Grammy-winning engineers, it omits manual Graph Mode editing and harmony generation, which remain exclusive to AutoTune Pro 11. Available for macOS and Windows in AAX, AU, and VST3 formats, the plugin carries a $450 perpetual license fee or is included in the AutoTune Unlimited subscription, with existing subscribers receiving the update at no cost. A three-day free trial is also available for interested users to test the new capabilities before purchasing the full version of the software.
